Michael, is the managing partner of National Settlement Consultants and a principal of National Financial Partners (NYSE: NFP).
He has been active in the insurance industry since 1991.
His background includes experience as a marketing intern with Northwestern Mutual, and he has worked in the legal department of Prudential
Life Insurance Company. In addition, Michael has experience in estate planning and tort law with the firm of Rutherford, Mulhall & Wargo in
Boca Raton, Florida. He received his initial training in structured settlements in the periodic payment department of a major life insurance
company.
In addition to managing National Settlement Consultants, Michael works with clients throughout the country in an effort to resolve personal
injury law suits utilizing structured settlements. Michael conducts seminars on the use of settlement annuities in claims resolution and is a memeber of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA).
Michael received a Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Florida College of Law, and he has been admitted to the Pennsylvania
Bar. He graduated cum laude from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Upon graduation from Williams, Michael was
inducted into the Massachusetts College Football Hall of Fame.

Bill is president and a founder of National Settlement Consultants with 19 years of structured settlement experience. He received his initial training from the periodic payment department of a major life insurance company, where he learned the industry from the inside out. He has participated in the design, installation and ongoing service of structured settlement benefits for tens of thousands of injured people throughout the country. He has worked on behalf of the industry lobbying to protect the rights of all parties in the structured settlement process.
Bill has assisted plaintiff attorneys, property and casualty insurance companies, self-insured corporations and government agencies in utilizing periodic payment products as successful negotiating and funding tools for general liability, workers’ compensation and environmental cases. He has extensive knowledge about complex financing, trusts and the integration of public benefits that are often critical in reaching a settlement.
In 1994 Bill received the designation of Certified Structured Settlement Consultant through the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) and the University of Notre Dame. He is an active member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association and is a frequent speaker for numerous trial lawyer associations including the Inner Circle of Advocates. Bill graduated from Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and economics.

Steven’s expertise extends to all issues affecting the settlement of the work comp case including Medicare allocations, life care plans, medical cost trends, long term disability and social security, etc.

Jerry Vavruska CSSC

Jerry is a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant and licensed in accident and health, life and variable annuities. With over five years of structured settlement experience, he has 17 years of medical malpractice claims experience and 11 years working in property and casualty claims.
His responsibilities include attending settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations and other dispositions hearings designed to resolve cases. In addition, he designs and presents settlement annuity plans, prepares quotes, handles releases and applications, performs file reviews, and interfaces with clients, the court and attorneys. Jerry analyzes life care plans and vocational rehabilitation reports and projects future loss of earnings and lifetime medical awards and judgments, as well as handles all necessary functions in finalizing settlement documents. He also participates in local and national seminars on the use of settlement annuities.
Prior to joining National Settlement Consultants, Jerry was with Medical Protective Company in Hudson, Ohio, for eight years. He served as Field Claims Manager and as Territorial Manager covering Texas, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana. Other experience includes two years with State Auto Insurance in Cleveland as senior claims examiner, and seven years with Allstate Insurance Company in Hudson as property and bodily injury claims adjuster.

Rolf joined NSC in 1999. Rolf has over 20 years of insurance experience. Prior to joining NSC, he served as Reliance Insurance Company’s claim manager in Detroit, responsible for the central states.
Other experience includes claim manager for the Michigan branch office for USF&G Insurance Company for seven years in Detroit, as well as senior multi-line claim supervisor with Great American Insurance Company, upper mid-states regional negotiator with American International Adjustment Company (AIG), litigation specialist and claim supervisor II with The Home Insurance Company, senior claim representative with CNA Insurance Company and several claim positions with Michigan Mutual Insurance Company. Prior to NSC, Dan spent 10 years as a claims administrator in the law and environmental affairs department of Westinghouse Electric Corporation. In this position, he was responsible for administration of the corporation’s self-insured liability program throughout the United States. Prior to that, he spent time as liability claims supervisor with Cigna Corporation and in various claim positions with Chubb Insurance Group. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology with a minor in criminal justice from Edinboro University. He also holds the designation of Casualty Claims Law Associate.

John joined NSC in 2002. He has over 32 years of experience in the insurance industry starting his career as a Claim Representation with a major multi-line carrier. He later joined the ninth largest professional liability insurer assuming various positions and advancing to the position of Vice President of Claims. Most recently, he was Manager of a state run professional liability excess insurer for hospitals and physicians.
He developed structured settlement programs to assist his staff in settling high exposure cases. He graduated from college in 1970 with a BS in Business Administration and minors in Mathematics and Economics.
