John is a Settlement Annuity Specialist with the Cleveland office with more than 35 years of experience as an attorney and structured settlement specialists. He joined National Settlement Consultants in 2001.
Prior to joining National Settlement Consultants, John served for more than 25 years as Regional Vice President and President of several prominent structured settlement firms where he specialized in the design, negotiation and funding of structured settlements. Before joining the structured settlement industry, John served for nine years as Counsel for an international engineering and construction company based in Cleveland.
He has given numerous seminars and lectures on structured settlements including for the Cleveland Claims Association, the Cuyahoga County Bar Association, the Cuyahoga County Law Directors Association, the Ohio Academy of Trial Attorneys, the Ohio Civil Trial Attorneys, the Cleveland and Ohio Society of Health Care Risk Managers, the Dartmouth Lawyers Association and the Cleveland State and Case Western Reserve Law Schools.
John is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) and a former member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Bar Associations.
He received a Doctor of Juris Prudence degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1971, a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1966 and a Bachelor or Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1965. He also received the designation of Certified Structured Settlement Consultant from Notre Dame University in 1994.
